A creative magpie and a shirker of boundaries.
As an 8 year old, taking photos and drawing were my main pastimes. As a teenager, I enjoyed making handmade cards for my family and friends. These early interests seem to have informed my magpie approach to creative careers.
My first career was as a freelance graphic designer doing lots of branding / identity design and other small jobs. Later, as a children’s illustrator, I drew about 45 illustrated books — some of which I wrote. I also worked as a professional actor; just for shits and giggles.
Currently, my main work is as a senior tutor at Swinburne's Unilink Diploma of Design, Melbourne, teaching design, drawing and photography. My first full-time job.
In my spare time I am a photographer. I enjoy photographing people and in 2019 began several portraiture-based photographic projects.
